What is mastic asphalt roofing?
Mastic asphalt is a dense, flexible material applied in a hot liquid state and spread to form a continuous waterproof membrane. Unlike felt or EPDM systems which rely on joins and overlaps, a properly laid asphalt roof has no seams — which is why it is so effective at keeping water out over the long term.
It is particularly well-suited to flat roofs and low-pitch applications on both houses and larger buildings. We apply mastic asphalt over concrete decks, timber substrates and existing roof structures, and use a Geotec felt underlay to allow for thermal movement throughout the year.
